今日は神泉にあるスポーツクラブに行ってきました。自分のカード会員種別は全国どこでも使えるマスタークラスなのですが、近くのとこ以外の施設は行ったことなかったので、他のとこはどんな感じか見てみたくなって。
神泉は自転車だと246から山手通りを上っていって10分ちょっとというところで、案外近く着きました。この辺は渋谷の東急本店から西側一帯の落ち着いた地域で、松濤なんかも含まれます。
ここのジムはそれほど大きくないビルに７階くらいに分けて入っていて、地下のロッカーで着替えたらエレベーターで目的のスタジオとかマシンルームに向かうのでした。やっぱり場所によって作りが全然違うなあ。
上の方の階だとガラスの向こうに街並を見下ろしながらトレーニングできたりして、なんかエグゼクティブな・・・。夜だったら夜景を見ながら汗を流し、「俺って出来る男！」とか勘違いしそう。
しかしスタジオに入ると、初めての場所なのにいつもの施設で見たことのある顔がちらほら。どうやら複数の施設に通う人は結構いるみたいですね。ハマっている人になると、今日は飯田橋、明日は新百合ケ丘とか、もう距離とか関係なく行きまくるみたいだから、すごい話。
でも考えたら合奏も練習のたびに東陽町とか三鷹とか移動になるから、ほんとのほんとに趣味のレベルになったら、そういうの関係ないものか。
最初近所のラーメン屋で満足してたのが、もっと別の味を求めていろんな店に行くようになるものみたいに、熱心さで活動範囲は広がるものですね。
渋谷の近くに来たので、ついでに足を伸ばしてハンズ隣りのモンベルで買い物。ここって店の中に滝があるし、BGMは鳥の声だったりしてだいぶマイナスイオン出てる場所です。地下１階に落ち着いたレストランみたいなのがあるから、あの辺で静かに休憩したかったら穴場かもしれない。
それで、買い物したら東急本店でやってる岩合光昭写真展のチケットがもらえたので、またまたついでにそれも行ってきました。
岩合光昭の名前は、10年くらい前に新潮社から出ていたSINRAっていう自然雑誌でよく見ていて、知っていました。動物写真家の名前なんて全然知らないけど、この人だけはなんか写真が印象的で覚えていたんです。
あと、この人はデジカメにも早い時期から取り組んでいて、オリンパスのサイトでデジタル岩合ってページがあります。オリンパスのデジカメ持ってるんでそこでも写真をたまに見てましたね。

でも写真展ってくらいちゃんと向き合って見たことがなかったので気づかなかったのですが、この人の写真はやっぱりすごい。大判のパネルで見ると、動物でも鳥でも虫でも、どれものけ反るような美しさがあります。
運動して買い物荷物持って足くたくただったのですが、一個一個じっくり見てきました。小さいころの動物好きの血が甦った。動物とか虫とか大好きで、図鑑にあるのは全部覚えたなあ。
血が甦ったので、その場で写真集買ってしまいました。「岩合光昭の大自然100」。あと、「考える人」って雑誌。知らない雑誌だし彼の写真は少ししかないけど、表紙に「特集 クラシック音楽と本さえあれば」ってあって、恩田陸とか高村薫とかあるじゃないですか。武満徹の本棚とか見開きで載ってるし、面白そう・・・。
ということで2冊で4000円。もらった写真展のチケット代は700円。結果的に思いも寄らぬお金を使ってしまった。でもいい本だから嬉しい。

最初の３枚が私のお気に入りですが、特に桜の下に流れる川に鴨は最高です。すばらしい。
